A joint conference on Luxury and Retail was organized by CCI France UAE in partnership with the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on 19th October 2023, in Dubai.
Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, Director General of IFCCI was invited to moderate the first panel discussion which focussed on the Evolution of the Beauty Market in India. The panelists included Marco R., MD of Triskelion and Advisor Galleries Lafayette, Masoom Minawala, Global Fashion Influencer, Entrepreneur, Investor, and Young Leader of the France India Foundation, and Marie FRANCK, Senior Area Retail Manager, Dior and Guerlain. It gave insights into India’s growing consumption in the beauty and personal care sector, the impact of e-commerce and digitization as well as the Indian consumer in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
The panel two discussions focussed on absolute luxury with Thibault Hesse, Managing Director – India & Middle East - Hermès Middle East South Asia PTE. Ltd., Caroline Feroul, Commercial Projects Director MEIAT - Cartier MEIA (Middle East, India, Africa & Turkey). It was moderated by Thibaut Fromageau, Chief Customer Officer, CXG. This session served as an important platform to hear about both brands’ rich history and association with India spanning decades and their views on India’s promising market.
