About IFCCI Advocacy
Since 2015, IFCCI has actively engaged in advocacy initiatives, serving as a vital platform connecting French companies in India with key government bodies, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders to enhance the Ease of Doing Business. In 2024, these efforts were formalized with the establishment of the IFCCI Advocacy Department, which has since been instrumental in fostering dialogue, presenting strategic recommendations, and addressing critical business challenges across diverse sectors.
Key Focus Areas:
- Government Engagement: Active collaboration with departments such as DPIIT (Ministry of Commerce and Industry), FSSAI (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare), NITI Aayog, Bureau of Indian Standards, Ministry of Finance, and other State and Central State Ministries and Investment Promotion Agencies.
- Policy Advocacy: Developing whitepapers and recommendations on regulatory and policy frameworks to foster favourable business environments.
- Sectoral Outreach: Advocacy efforts span industries including Renewable Energy, Industries, Food and Beverage, Logistics and Supply Chain, Luxury, Mobility and many others.
- Ease of Doing Business: Resolving operational challenges faced by member companies and offering insights for regulatory clarity.
