Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with the French Club of IMM Business School organized a Session on 'French Success Stories in India' on 14th September 2023 at their institute in New Delhi.
The session commenced with a warm welcome by Prof. Smita Lal, Dean of IMM Business School, followed by introductory remarks by Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, Director General of IFCCI.
Industry Presentations were delivered by Mr. Kazem Samandari, Executive Chairman of L'Opera India and Mr. Tarun Singhal, Business Development, Marketing & Communications, Sopra Steria.
Mr. Samandari talked about the remarkable journey of L'Opera in India, unraveling the essence of building a brand from its inception. Mr. Singhal shed light on his organization's triumphant story in India and its pivotal role in strengthening the French presence on Indian soil.
Mr. Emmanuel Lebrun-Damiens, Counsellor for Education, Science & Culture, Embassy of France in India graced the occasion and the Panel Discussion on 'How to be successful in running French Businesses in India – Ease of Doing Business', alongwith Mr. Madhav Raina-Thapan, Managing Director - Market Development Services India, Maier+Vidorno and Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI. The panel unfurled a comprehensive narrative of the French presence and its rich cultural influence in India, strength of the French language as a symbolic doorway, the scope of partnering with French educational institutes for dual degrees and unlocking a realm of opportunities in India and positioning India as a preferred business destination. The Panel was moderated by Prof. Smita Lal, Dean of IMM Business School.
The panel concluded with inspiring takeaways for the budding talents - such as the importance of communication, personality development and continuous exploration of newer opportunities and avenues for growth.
The session ended with a melodious French song performed by the students of their French Club, followed by closing remarks by Prof. Shubhra Samaddar, Executive Officer - Global Alliance & Assistant Professor - French, IMM Business School.
