IFCCI organized an Interactive Session on Co-sharing Challenges and Opportunities in the Consumer Goods segment during COVID-19 on Tuesday, 19th May 2020. The three most important challenges that companies, consumers and all the stakeholders are facing were discussed. Various new innovative practices to effectively function during Covid 19 were also elaborated.
Ms. Rishika Roy, Head Committees & Events, IFCCI opened the Session and welcomed the Speakers and Participants. This was followed by the theme address given by Mr. Mohan Kumar, Chairman, IFCCI Consumer Goods & Services Committee wherein he underscored the importance to discuss, deliberate and learn from each others’ experiences while dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic.
Observations were shared by the following panelists on the current situation, the new methods being adopted and the new future that they expect.

All the speakers accepted that uncertainty is the biggest problem. They all highlighted the need to conserve cash and liquidity while ensuring business continuity. They also underscored the importance of having all the necessary documentation to ensure smooth operations. The need to stay connected with all the stakeholders and help them in times of distress was also emphasized upon. Discussions also led the participants to conclude a drastic shift in the consumer behaviour patterns and an increased tendency of all the stakeholders going online.
It was an insightful Session with over 50 participants joining the Session.The session was concluded by a vote of thank by Ms. Rishika Roy, Head- Committees & Events, IFCCI.
