New Delhi : IFCCI CFO & BFSI Joint Committee Seminar

In partnership with The Economic Times (ET CFO), The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry's CFO and Banking & Finance Committee jointly organized a seminar on Friday, 9th August 2019 at Pullman Hotel Aerocity, New Delhi.

The objective of IFCCI’s CFO and Banking & Finance Committee is to create a platform for CFOs and Finance Heads from top Indian and French Companies to network and discuss best practices as well as exchange views on current industry trends.

Some of the key highlights of the event included:

• CFO interview Kiosk by ETCFO - Live interviews
• Release of IFCCI CFO Handbook
• Expert talks - CFOs/Finance heads/Banking Professionals

The event commenced with a networking breakfast along with interviews of select CFOs from IFCCI's member companies.

Subsequently, IFCCI's Vice President (Northern Chapter) and Founder of Indsight Growth Partners - Mr. Sumeet Anand welcomed the audience with a short brief about IFCCI and its committees' initiatives. This was followed by an opening address by Mr. Nicolas Simon, Chairman, BFSI Committee; Vice President (Western Chapter, IFCCI) & Deputy CEO, SBI Mutual Funds.

Post the opening addresses, Mr. Gagan Kumar, Founder, Krishonomics Legal presented the core tax reforms announced in the recent Union Budget and set the context for the first panel

Successively, the First Panel comprising of Mr. Vikas Wadhawan, Group Chief Financial Officer, PropTiger; Mr. Mohit Agarwal, Director, PwC and Mr. Amol Dethe, Editor, ET CFO (Moderator) presented their viewpoint on Impact of budget outcomes on businesses. This was followed by a round of Q&A.

Upnext, IFCCI's CFO Handbook was released by Mr. Sugata Sircar, CFO Schneider Electric India & Mr. Mayank Lakhani, Senior Managing Director, Consulting and Assurance Advisory, SKP on 'Digitization in Businesses', followed by brief insights on the topic and the handbook's content.

The second panel was a fire-side chat format. Speakers on board Mr. Sugata Sircar, CFO Schneider Electric India (Chairman IFCCI CFO Committee); Mr. Nicolas Simon, Chairman, BFSI Committee; Vice President (Western Chapter), IFCCI & Deputy CEO, SBI Mutual Funds and Mr. Amol Dethe, Editor, ET CFO (Moderator) talked about Digitization and its impact on Businesses with a viewpoint of the BFSI Industry.

The seminar then ended with an interactive session with the audience followed by a vote of thanks by Ms. Rishika Roy, Head - Committees & Events (North), IFCCI.
