Kanishka, who prefers the pronouns he/him, serves as the co-founder of the Samavesh Chamber of Commerce. This organization is a non-profit entity owned and led by business and corporate leaders from the LGBTIQ+ community. Their vision is to co-create a safe and inclusive business ecosystem in India for the LGBTIQ+ community. 
 
Kanishka’s day job is as a Director of Business Transformation Services at Alvarez and Marsal which is a management consulting firm. 
An out and proud Dalit gay person, Kanishka has over 16 years of on-ground and leadership experience in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging, Sustainability (SDG & ESG), & Supplier Diversity globally & locally across Fortune 500 companies.  Kanishka leverages his distinctive intersectionalities and cross-sectional leadership experience while collaborating with his equally talented co-founders at Samavesh. Together, they strive to develop community-centric solutions, ensuring that the needs and interests of the community remain at the core of their solution design. 

For his work done in the D&I space and for the Scheduled Caste and Tribe community, Kanishka was recently nominated for the prestigious Dr. Ambedkar International Award which the Honorable President of India presents, in 2022.
