Saugata BhattacharyaSenior Vice President and Chief Economist, Axis Bank

Mr. Saugata Bhattacharya is Executive Vice President and Chief Economist at Axis Bank. He has previously worked with IDFC and HUL. He is a member of the CII National Committees on EXIM and on Financial Reporting, the CII Western Region CEO-Economists Forum, and the Assocham National Council on Banking. He has been part of RBI, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs Committees earlier. He is a member of the Executive Council of the PGDM programme of the National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM), Pune and the Academic Council of NMIMS, Mumbai. He was named a Chevening Fellow of the UK Govt in 2017, as an alumni of King’s College, London.
