Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Delhi organised its first networking event of the year - the New Year Networking Breakfast over Galette des Rois at L’Opéra Basant Lok, an authentic pastry, bakery house and Salon de Thé, specializing in French products in India.
Ms. Payal Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI and Mr. Kazem Samandari, Founding Chairman, L'Opera jointly welcomed the guests. The event was attended by more than 35 Indian and French business leaders of IFCCI's member companies and Embassy of France officials.
Galette des Rois is a popular French tradition and a traditional dessert also known as the King Cake to celebrate Epiphany, a religious feast day observing the arrival of the Three Kings to the birthplace of Baby Jesus. If one discovers a tiny charm hidden in your slice, it means you are crowned the “king for a day” and can be a part of the 700-year old French tradition.
It was a perfect opportunity to celebrate a get together and network.
